The students in the Tuesday Anime and Manga Club have decided to have a drawing contest. The entries for this contest are at the bottom of the blog. The captions indicate the voting names of each picture. Voting will happen soon. Good luck to all participants.

The 8th Grade Anime and Manga Club had their first Drawing Contest of this year and the Winner was Lily- no surprise. There is a group who feel that Lily should have her own contest. Second place was Chelsea and third place was Anne. Great job everyone!

Another Year

The Anime and Manga Club this year has been meeting since Teen Read Week in October 2010. More than 30 students came to the first meeting. The eighth grade club has a steady number of twenty or more students who actively participate and the seventh grade club had to be split into two clubs- one meeting on Tuesday and the other on Thursday. All three clubs have been actively watching a variety of anime that were given to the club by Operation Anime. The eighth grade club finished watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, pt.1 while the seventh grade club finished watching Fullmetal Alchemist I: the Curse. Because of the number of snow days, the club hasn't met as much as usual.

The JCMS Anime and Manga Club meets every Tuesday during lunch. There is one for each grade. Both clubs have just finished watching "Full Metal Alchemist." The next anime they will be viewing is "Fruit Basket."

Students also discuss the mangas they are reading and they enter their drawings into a contest.
